Today, the RSF have taken the army’s last major base in El Fasher — after 18 months of siege, the city’s civilians are now left completely exposed, under blockade, and without safe passage out.
➤ Over 250,000 people — half of them children — remain trapped inside.
➤ Aid workers report children arriving in nearby towns of Tawila and Girnay horribly malnourished — women unable to produce milk, families paying ransoms, and many fleeing on foot in search of safety.
Youth In Action’s team in Al Fasher has lost contact since the fall of the city. We are deeply concerned for their safety and for all civilians still trapped inside.
