Youth in Action Organization, with funding from NRC, conducted a Community WASH Committee Training in Tawila. The training covered:
• Committee roles & governance
• Operation & maintenance of water points (including practical handpump repair)
• Hygiene promotion and community mobilization techniques
• Monitoring, reporting, and inclusion of women, youth, and vulnerable groups
These activities respond to urgent WASH needs as Tawila continues to receive large numbers of displaced people and faces growing humanitarian pressures. We thank NRC and all community participants for their leadership and dedication. Next steps include on-the-job mentorship and routine follow-up visits to support newly trained committee members.
