n times of humanitarian crises, children are always the most vulnerable, particularly those who have been separated from their families and primary caregivers. Ensuring their protection and well-being remains at the very core of our mission.
As part of our ongoing field interventions to safeguard childhood, Youth in Action Organization (YAO), with the generous support and funding from UNICEF and the US Government, has successfully implemented an emergency humanitarian response project in Al Rashad Governorate, South Kordofan State.
Project Highlights & Key Deliverables
•⁠ ⁠Target Group: The intervention specifically focused on unaccompanied and separated children (UASC) to shield them from immediate protection risks.
•⁠ ⁠Reach: The project successfully reached and supported 25 vulnerable children (boys and girls) in the region.
•⁠ ⁠Assistance Package: Each child received a comprehensive dual-support package designed to meet their immediate survival and dignity needs:
•⁠ ⁠Nutritional Support: Essential food items to secure their daily dietary needs and support their physical health.
•⁠ ⁠Non-Food Items (NFIs): Critical hygiene kits, personal care supplies, and daily living essentials to ensure they live in a safe, dignified, and healthy environment.
